With the aggravation of market competition of globalization, the equipment manufacture industry is facing unprecedented challenges, and its production system optimization is becoming a problem to be solved. In this paper, taking Dongfang turbine company as the background, the optimized problem of blade productive system was studied by employing system modeling and simulation technology. The main researches are as followings:(1) The blade workshop was analyzed systematically, a comprehensive investigation was implemented, the situation and performance of the blade production system were analyzed by collecting the data about the number of persons, the layout of equipments, the process flows, man-hours and the buffers. (2) The OPN model of the real productive system was established to analyze the properties of the production system. (3) Combining the layout of the real blade production system with the productive parameters, the OPN model was converted into Flexsim simulation model, the faults in the system were analyzed through the simulation results. (4) The blade production system was optimized by integrating classic IE, with mathematical model and with simulation technology. (5) The optimized results were verified and evaluated by employing Flexsim simulation software. The esult of research demonstrated that the blade production system indices such as quality, cost and efficiency of the production system have been significantly aptimized. The method can be applied to the optimization of the whole equipment manufacturing system.
