The short-pylon cable-styled bridge is one kind of newly developed bridge structure in recent 20 years, and it has the structural characteristics of the cable-styled bridge and the continuous girder bridge. So there are inner links and essential differences in its mechanical characteristics between girder bridge and cable-stayed bridge. As a whole, the main girder of the continuous girder bridge bear bending shear effect directly so that it can resist vertical load forces. The cable-styled bridge makes use of the main girder and cable tension to resist vertical load forces.To sum up, the study of short-pylon cable-styled bridge is to study the nature of beam mechanical characteristics.This study is based on the twin pylons and single cable short-pylon cable-styled bridge-The Ruilijiang bridge. and. Under the guidance of response spectrum method and dynamic time history analysis method, the author uses structural analysis program Midas civil 2013 to analyze the Ruilijiang bridge on the dynamic characteristics and seismic response. Specific work is as follows:①Describes the development of short-pylon cable-styled bridge and the effect of bridge seismic damage and enlightenment.② The finite element model of short-pylon cable-styled bridge are analyzed theoretically.③The dynamic behavior of Ruilijiang bridge.④Seismic response spectrum in design standard as the inputs of spectrum curve,the response of the bridge was calculated. And then the general rules of seismic response of structure under waves in longitudinal, transverse,vertical directions and their combination are obtained.⑤Analyze the Ruilijiang bridge by the dynamic time history method, comparing with El Centro wave, oakwh2 wave, and park040 wave. Especially, the author analyze pylon and girder time history curve of some important section and seismic response with El Centro in the earthquake and did some further research under the incentive of the traveling wave effect.
