Bridge project is a part of the construction industry, but it as the key control project in transportation construction projects, in the design stage, construction stage and operation stage are much more difficult than in the average building. At the same time, along with the rapid development of highway construction in our country, the sea, across the river, across the river and mountain area highway super-large bridge construction cost is expensive, and the difficulty and technical requirements are increasingly high.At present, the research and application of BIM technology focuses more on the bridge engineering design and construction stage, contrast, operational phase of the research and application of the BIM is shown slightly weak. Bridge operation in the whole life to occupy the longest time, a set of perfect management scheme for healthy operation of play a particularly important role.This paper is divided into four steps for BIM technology application in bridge engineering operation stages are studied:①Through studying the basic concept of BIM technology at home and abroad, the present situation and related application software, explore the characteristics of the BIM technology, in order to understand the BIM technology to the important role of whole life cycle of construction projects;② Because of BIM technology is obviously enhanced the efficiency of operational management of the bridge, according to the relevant network technology, build a set of whole life cycle of the bridge based on BIM technology information management framework, and based on this framework, introduces the bridge operation management system based on BIM technology in the framework of the data layer, model layer and module of related applications, thus manifests the BIM technologies plays an important role in bridge operation management;③Research on BIM technology in the bridge project operation stage, the related applications, including bridge project operation based on BIM technology, lean management, collaborative work platform based on BIM technology and some other applications, in order to show the bridge project based on BIM technology advantages compared with traditional operation management, operations management that BIM technology in the bridge plays the key role of operations management, provides the guarantee for the safety and health of the bridge operation of at the same time, also saves the operation cost, embody the sustainable operation of the bridge;④In practical engineering of the Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau bridge as the background, research the structure of the construction control based on BIM technology, electronic inspection maintenance and application of structural health evaluation, as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge operational management provides a new train of thought.Hope that through this article can arouse the colleague’s emphasis on BIM technology, especially the development of BIM technology in the bridge engineering operation stages, for bridge engineering after operation to provide a safe and healthy platform.
