| Villages can be seen as the root of a nation and a society. Meanwhile, since villages process the characteristic of gathering ethnic group and continuing consanguinity, they bear the long history of China. Ancient villages become one of the largest heritage as it they contain abundant history and cultural landscape. The landscape of ancient village also acts as a container of traditional culture, which is mail field of intangible cultural heritage.Giving a general observation into the history, it is evident that couples of accesses for ethnic group migration in the ancient time were gathered in southwest area. Hence, it becomes a place assembling ethnic minorities in China. When you link these accesses they form a’big cross’, and Guizhou is in the centre of it. Moreover, Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefectures is just the essential node of the’big cross’. Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefectures is the biggest habitation of Dong. Since unique geographic location and pattern, the Dong village in Qiandongnan appeared hysteresis as well as openness during the journey of urbanization. Due to its dual natures, the Dong village becomes’living fossil’, as well as gaining the high attention on research and protection from all sectors of the community. However, the modern construction means destroyed the character of Dong building; the young adult leaving out left the’empty nest’; the issue of single business form raised by tourism is eating up ancient villages gradually and damaging the landscape. These actual statuses form the necessity for set up special research on the landscape protection of Dong village in Qiandongnan.The article studies on the landscape protection of ancient Dong village in Qiandongnan. It chooses 2 most typical ancient villages (Zhaoxing Dong village and Dali Dong village) as the objects of study, makes a deep analysis and comparison on their general landscapes from general spaces, internal spaces and landscape nodes of village, and discusses the development of village tourism and its impact. Base on this, the article analyzes principles of village landscape protection and strategies of ancient village development. |
