| Traction substation, which plays a key role in power transmission and voltage conversion, is of critical importance for the safe and stable operation of traction power supply system. However, some existing factors including contact oxidation and electric arc impacts will increase the resistance of the contacts and continuously generate heat, thus causing a rise in the temperature, which may result in local welding, spark or even arc discharging and store up problems for safe operation of the equipment. In that case, fire or explosion incidents would occur if it can not be found in time. The high voltage equipment in the traction substation such as circuit breaker, disconnector, and bus are all fixed by electrical connection. Therefore, real time monitoring of temperature information of the contacts has important significance for finding out equipment fault and eliminating the potential trouble.In this paper, analysis and comparison are made for existing temperature measuring methods based on the characteristics of the electrical connection temperature measuring equipment. Meanwhile, an improving equipment using new temperature measuring method is made and real time monitoring for electrical connect temperature is realized. The temperature measuring device is mainly composed of temperature gathering nodes of the electrical connection, the temperature measuring terminal and PC management system. The electrical connection temperature gathering nodes, installed on each electrical connection in the method of contacting, are used to complete the measurement and transmission. Based on traditional power supply methods, CT power scheme is added, which ensures the long-term operational life span of the temperature gathering nodes. XBee used for wireless transmission module which ensures sending distance and the correct transmission of the temperature. Temperature measuring terminal is mainly applied to complete temperature information receiving, and realize the functions such as storage, alarm, display and computer management. The temperature information will be displayed on the LED screen after being processed, which can be easily observed by operators. At the same time, information is passed to the PC management system through serial ports for temperature storage, display and management. In order to prevent the PC management system failure and loss of data, the SD card is designed for information storage function, which can also be backup for temperature measurement data. In addition to the traditional sound and light alarm, alarm through mobile phone short message is designed when early warning temperature is reached. Meanwhile, owing to the large number of electrical connection in the traction substation, point-to-multipoint measuring method can reduce cost. Through experimenting and testing the electrical connection temperature measuring equipment, the accuracy and reliability of the equipment are verified. Compared with the existing temperature measuring equipment, this equipment improves the efficiency, reduces the cost and is convenient to manage for personnel on duty and reduces the workload for those on duty and maintenance personnel. |
