Based on the development of the global aging, our country face the huge endowment demand nowadays. Elderly people in China will face disability trend according to the statistics, In the older population over 80 years old in proportion to the number of the whole elderly population will maintain in 25% to 30%, the expert predict that there will be a population of nearly 100 million by 2050.Under the circumstance of lacking the medical resources, some of the elderly facilities take the responsibility of daily care、medical care and the rehabilitation for the old man. To a certain degree, this situation partly solve the problem of old-age care at home. Today some of the "medical-nursing combined" institutions carry out many types of the facilities, however, the general form remains vague, it turn out that there is the lack of the facility layout, function configuration, space design and software services.In this paper, the author firstly studied the present situation of the healthcare and pension system at home and abroad, summarize the various types of the facilities according to the pension demand. As for the existence of the facilities in china, the author nurture three types of the classification as "integrated care", "joint operation" and "supporting network". Then, perform the research of the Chengdu endowment institutions. Through case study and analysis with the crosswise comparison overseas, draw a conclusion of the shortage and the future trend, furthermore, extracting the outstanding design language from domestic and foreign cases, explore the design issue of "medical-nursing combined" institutions and point out suggestions above development and design methods.
