Traction power supply system is an important part of the electrified railway, and the application of digital substation technology which is in compliance with IEC61850 standard can improve its operation reliability and electric energy quality. Analyzing the engineering practical process of digital traction substation and establishing a corresponding test scheme are of great help to the promotion of digital technology application in traction power supply system.Based on the 220kV Wangjiazhuang digital traction substation engineering case, during which a full set of digital equipment is put into use in heavy-load railway for the first time in China. Besides, test of factory stage and field stage are analyzed and a detailed test scheme is made.System performance test is completed in the factory testing stage, which focuses on the configuration integration and testing of the system, including the SCD files generation and detection, parameters configuration, association testing and interoperability testing of each IED.The field testing stage is mainly responsible for the review test and combined debugging test concerned with the connection to primary devices. Meanwhile, the tests are conducted in accordance to hierarchical function, including the basic function of background monitor system, SV system function testing, GOOSE system function testing, relay protection system function testing, and the time synchronization system testing.Each testing scheme introduction covers operation procedure, building of test platform, use method of related tools, evaluation criteria for test results, and the maintenance plan is also made at the same time.Finally, the testing scheme is applied in WangJiaZhuang substation and is verified to be correct and feasible through analysis on test results and revealed problems. Safety and stability for the substation operation can be ensured with the use of the test scheme designed, which lays a technical foundation for the operation, maintenance, fault analysis of digital substation.
