The seamless communication of power system is based on the IEC61850 standard in the future. The standard has an impact on all activities related to the field of substation automation. How to apply the standard to practice as soon as possible has become a research focus now.The background and main idea of the standard are introduced in this paper. The main technical features of network leveling, unified object-oriented modeling, dataobject self-description abstraction of communication service mapping, adopting of XML language etc. are analyzed in detail. The realization of IEC61850 is given summarily from the four aspacts: function modeling, data modeling, communication service mapping, substation automation engineering and conformance testing.The system configurator for IEC61850 is developed in this paper. It is discussed on how to apply XML technology to create, parse and validate a SCL(Substation Configuration Language) file in the development. It introduces DOM(Document Object Model), the key technology of development. And the paper discusses four applications in system configurator for IEC-61850.The realization of the communication managing device based on IEC61850 standard is analyzed, and a solution compatible with the existing database is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the original database and applications are kept unchanged, and implementation of the IEC61850 shall be treated as one of the configurable tasks in the system, where IEC61850 database will be dynamically generated as per the CID(Configured IED Description) file and achieve functions of the server and the client. Secondly, a configuration file is created by the IEC61850 configuration tool to realize mapping of the related data between the original database and the IEC61850 database. Finanlly, the both database will be bidirectionally refreshed in accordance with the mapping file. The communication managing device realized in this paper can also be regarded as a protocol converter, which can communicate with the tradictional devices.The implementation of the communication managing device and system configurator is presented in this paper. The implementation assures stability of the system and excellent expandability. The system configurator and the communication managing device take part in the six interoperability tests taken by State Grid Corporation of China. The result has proved that this method is totally feasible. This method can be referred to in developing new products based on the IEC61850 standard, and implementing IEC61850 in existing products. |
