Urban agglomeration is a special spatial pattern of the modern urban economy and regional economic development arising in the course. It is an important node in the global economic system and a support of regional economic development. It is also a certain level of signs and the inevitable outcome in the urban development. Within the urban agglomeration level of reasonable structure, economic and social functions of a clear division between the cities, there is a powerful force for mutual exchange between the towns in the region. However, transportation is an important condition for the formation and development of urban agglomeration, good transportation planning can guide the city developing orderly.Southern Sichuan urban agglomeration is the second largest economy zone in Sichuan, only less than the Chengdu Plain economic zone. This zone located in the south of the Chengdu Plain and around Chongqing Economic Zone, located in the Sichuan Hainan channel surrounding both Chengdu and Chongqing to undertake industrial transfer best place, but also ties in Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan and other "pan " regional ties has huge economic potential and rapid developing opportunity, the advantage is obvious. However, the transport infrastructure in the region is not strong support mechanism for the rational flow of factors of development and regional cooperation is not perfect, low level of integration development. In the future, with the development of the urban population in southern Sichuan and neighboring economies, economic and cultural exchanges have become closer, passenger demand will gradually increase, and both modes of transport can be difficult to meet the overall transportation needs of the future development. Therefore, as soon as possible to plan and build efficient and convenient integrated transport system, can improve accessibility to accelerate the development of southern Sichuan city group is particularly important.In this paper, the southern Sichuan city group integrated transport planning strategies were studied base on its population, economy, regional geography and the existing transportation network conditions. Firstly, from the theory of urban agglomeration development stages and characteristics of urban transportation development stage and group characteristics, analyzes the characteristics of urban transportation planning group. Then on the socio-economic development in southern Sichuan urban agglomeration, regional geography, both were analyzed network traffic, identify shortcomings of existing urban agglomerations southern Sichuan transport network. Finally, starting from a systems perspective, based PESTEL model to analyze the environmental analysis of traffic urban agglomeration in South Sichuan, recessive economic gravity model based on the regional transportation network in southern Sichuan city group were studied.
