With the level of information, industrialization and urbanization is improving, China's regional development shows a form of urban agglomeration, which have a profound impact on urban space, industrial structure and lifestyle in region. It can be seen that a new change on the background and content of transportation development. So researching on the law of transportation development is very important.Firstly, it based on the hierarchy of groups and impact of urban agglomeration transportation systems, which the influence of system is focused on the ecological environment, natural environment and economic-social aspects, and the integrated development of urban agglomeration transportation can be from two coordination aspects: transportation and land use, environment, economic-social, the various elements within the transportation system. The development of urban agglomeration transport system is divided into five stages modes:transport is not balanced, competing, integrated transport system formed, rapid development and maturity; the system is concentric circles, ladder-type and branches three structures. Based in the transportation characteristics of Berlin & Brandenburg, Boswash, San Francisco Bay and Tokaido, then it is proposed Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone should develop and strengthen planning, construction of economic zone and improve traffic access and integrated transport hub. Based on PESTEL model, It analysis the key factors which impact of the transportation development of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone is western development, a national strategy and urban-rural conditions extrinsic test area. Based on recessive economic gravity model and traffic location, It analysis traffic demand between cities in economic district.
