Carton packaging plays an increasingly important role in packaging and transportation of beer, beverages, dairy products and fruits and vegetables at home and abroad. Due to the increased production of food and beverage, the requirements for packing speed of packaging production line has increased, yet the production capacity of current packaging production line can’t meet the market needs. Consequently the new design of adhesive tape carton forming machine is needed as well as higher forming quality, shaping speed and production capacity. The competitiveness of carton forming machine will be thereby enhanced.This topic is based on the current development of the carton forming machine in China.s It analyzes the major types of the current carton forming machine and elaborated the structure, function, technological process of the machine and its working principle in the paper. Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing models to optimize the integration of relatively rational structure the topic has proposed a new carton forming machine-continuous tape sealing carton forming machine. The paper designs a new type of carton forming technological process as well as the main structural components. And it applies the theory of planar mechanism motion to analysis the forming mechanism of cartons. According to the analysis of the existing standing forming carton mechanism and its movement, an new online type stand box motion analysis model is established. The new model provides a theoretical basis for the design and analysis of carton forming machine.Vertical carton forming mechanism which 3D model has been made by Solid Works has been analyzed. The sporty character of crank block which is among continuous carton forming mechanism has been analyzed theoretically and the sporty character was given. On detailed analysis of the 3D model, kinetic characteristic curve has been given. According to the analysis of characteristic curve under different condition and the confirmation of practicability of vertical carton forming mechanism, provided the credible technical information for manufacturing.
