With the continuous improvement of living standards and science technology, people are no longer satisfied with traditional home environment, and are gradually yearning for an automatic and humane living environment. Since the later 1980s, when the concept of the smart home was proposed, smart home industry has been gradually developing, and received increasing attention, with good market prospects. However, current smart home systems have some drawbacks, such as low degree of intelligence and humanity, poor ability to connect with external networks, lack of uniform standards, and so on.In view of the above problems, in this thesis we design a smart home system based on various scenario modes. The system consists of three parts:home node, home gateway and monitoring terminal. Home node is the direct hardware circuit to achieve monitoring operations, it is responsible for receiving and executing control commands from the gateway, or uploading the corresponding alarm information.Home gateway is the communication hub of the whole system, responsible for coordinating the operation of the whole system. Monitoring terminal is the direct monitoring equipment, which monitors home nodes via home gateway. This system not only has simple functions such as device control, fire security alarm and data acquisition, but also has various scenario modes control function. Users can achieve joint control of multiple devices by setting a scene mode, making the operation state of household devices in line with the demand of current user’s environment.First, the hardware and software of the home node are designed. The hardware circuit of each node is implemented by adding appropriate implementation or acquisition circuit to the application circuit of nRF24LE1. In the software design, by adopting a CSMA collision detection method, we have developed a simple wireless communication protocol, and realized network communication within the family on basis of this protocol. Second, the system implements the hardware connection and server program of home gateway. Gateway controller S3C2440 is communicated with internal network through wireless module, and communicated with external network through an wireless card and GPRS module. The gateway server program detects command information from the external network and data information from the internal network, and then makes corresponding processing to the effective information. Finally, we design the Android monitoring terminal software. The software has server login function and monitoring functions. User can log server and monitor through message or network depending on the environment. Control function is achieved via query SQLite database and send corresponding commands; monitoring function will detect upload information from monitoring node, and display or alarm for effective information.The test results show that the system can operate normally and stably. In the system, the scenario mode control function meets people’s demand for intelligent and humane home environment. Therefore, the system will provide some new ideas for the development of domestic smart home industry.
