Super high-rise building is becoming the trend of domestic public buildings, but the high energy consumption of the buildings also has attracted the attention of the stakeholders of the construction industry. However, the development of green buildings provides a new way for energy saving of super high-rise buildings. What’s more, the technology of passive energy saving related to green buildings will make profound influence to energy-saving and emission reduction of the construction industry.Firstly, this paper reaches a conclusion that applicable passive technologies in hot summer and warm winter regions are the building external shading, natural lighting and natural ventilation and so on based on a general review of domestic and overseas researches on passive energy saving. Besides, the author also combined with an actual project of green super high-rise public building in Xiamen, established the model of the main building in the simulation software IES-VE and carried out a comprehensive simulation which combined natural lighting with different length of the building shading using that model. The study indicates that the optimal shading length of the typical floor is 1.5 meters and the optimal length of the whole building is 2.0 meters. Then a simulation on the whole building with 2.0 meters shading length with day-lighting and natural ventilation was made. And the result shows that the quantity of the annual energy saving is 612.0762 MWh after taking the combination of the passive energy saving measures, and that the investment recovery period is 3.57 years through the economic analysis. Finally, the author analyzed the passive energy saving technology in other typical area in the hot summer and warm winter regions through the simulation: Guangzhou, Nanning, Wuzhou and Hechi. The result proves that the universal applicability of the passive energy saving technology in the whole regions with seasons of hot summer and warm winter makes the popularization of the passive technology become possible.In this paper, it concludes the applicability and energy saving potential of the passive energy saving technology of green super high-rise building in the hot summer and warm winter regions through the comprehensive study on the relationship between shading, natural lighting, natural ventilation and energy consumption. This will provide methods and ideas for the future study of passive energy saving measures for green super high-rise building.
