Offshore wind power is an important direction for future wind ennrgy development, in recent years, develops rapidly. Offshore wind power installation is the high cost and complex technology part of the whole offshore wind projects. Countries are constantly exploring, has developed a variety of installation vessel. The ways of offshore wind mainly include split installation and overall installation, in which overall installation is more efficient. Barge occur swaying motion which is affected by waves during the process of towing. In order to ensure the safty of wind turbine and wind turbine hoisting systems during the towing, as well as to determine the towage sea conditions, dynamics simulation of the barge, the wind turbine and the hoisting system is necessary.In this paper, overall hoisting system of offshore wind turbine was taken as the research object, which was developed by Construction Machinery Institute of Dalian University of Technology. The flexible multi-body dynamics model of the overall offshore wind turbine hoisting system was built, ADAMS dynamics simulation software was the platform and combined with ANSYSfinite element analysis software. The driving of simulation was the rolling and pitching motion of the vessel under waves. The dynamic behavior of the process of towing was the foundation which determines the hoisting system architecture design and drag sailing condition.Different sea conditions simulation results show that:1. The neck ring of wind turbine on the main structure of hoisting system must be built to reduce the wind turbine swing with the barge sway and the force of wind turbine and the structure of hoisting system, to ensure the safety of towing;2. In order to ensure the safe of wind turbine and hoisting system architecture during the process of towing, towage should be under 1 wave;3. Admendments for some part of the hoisting system structure were proposed according to the simulation results.Through the simulation study on offshore wind turbine during the process of towing, the results can be the guidance to determine the wind turbine towage sailing condition and be the reference to design and improve the hoisting system.
