Ocean wind power, an important clean energy, has been aroused wide concern. Wind turbine installation vessels (WTIV), a main device of setting up offshore wind turbine, have become much popular recently. The quality of WTIV blocks lifting plays an important role in build efficiency and structure strength. When design the lifting scheme, designers need to concern a lot of aspects, such as lifting area resources, block structure, build method.block weight and gravity center, lifting posture, lugs type, strength, etc, and these factors make it much difficult. Based on the engineering problems, with Tribon secondary development and 3ds Max simulation technology, this study researches on the lifting automatic design and simulation design method for WTIV, and it is aiming at developing a system for lifting scheme automatic layout and simulation design.There are two main researches on WTIV in this study, one is on the design algorithm for block lifting scheme and the other is on the dynamic simulation for block lifting process.In the first one, the design process of lifting scheme is introduced in detail For WITV, the block types are diveded after analyzing the features of its structure. And with considering a lot of constraints, the lugs layout algorithms are designed for each type of block.In the second one, the lifting construction are created rapidly in 3ds Max with MAXScript, and the simulation algorithms for the dynamic lifting process are designed. Based on the lugs position, block weight and gravity center in the lifting scheme, the angle-stress curves for hooks are calculated by Matlab.For improving design quality and ensuring the construction satety and reliability, the system developed in this study supports manual adjustment. The lifting automatic layout design module is able to generate lifting scheme rapidly for most blocks of a WTIV, and improve the work efficiency greatly. And the simulated lifting process can be shown realistically for designers by the simulation module.
