Architectural design method has been alternated and updated constantly from ancient times to modern times. A variety of design methods have contributed to the further development of the construction industry. The industrialization of construction once again becomes the hot spot of architectural industry. As a new method of industrialization of construction, prefabricated concrete building, compared with traditional method of pouring concrete on construction site, has the benefits of high efficiency, low noise, low pollution, site dry operation, parallel design and parallel construction and so on. It is more suitable for today’s construction industry for the trend of low energy consumption, low pollution and sustainable development.The impact of information on mankind is profound, and the development trend of construction industry will surely be affected by information society. Information technology application is and will be the driving force of the development of the construction industry in the future. Building Information Modeling (Building Information Modeling, BIM) technology is a natural product resulted from information technology being applied in the construction industry. As an innovative tool and production method, it is a direct application of information technology in the construction industry. Through the establishment of digital BIM parameter model, covering project-related, large number of parameters supported information, BIM technology provides services in construction project design, construction and installation, operation and maintenance and so on throughout the life cycle, and plays a major role in improving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, saving costs and shortening the duration.This paper focuses on elaborating BIM technology, analyzing and comparing traditional 2D, 3D graphics methods and principles with the principles of BIM technology, so you can see the advantage of BIM technology and its features. In the specific application of BIM technology, this paper mainly focus on the Revit in the standardized management of prefabricated components and standardized management of building units in prefabricated building structure design by BIM technology, to ensure BIM technology is really applied to the process of precast concrete building design, help architect to have a swift, accurate and efficient structural design and to have a better management of the building lifecycle. In addition, this paper studies China localization of BIM technology provides a theoretical research and application method for flat structure construction drawings under the guidance of BIM technology, and the research methods used in the actual case.
