Scientific progress promotes the rapid development of industrial technology, which, however, has brought serious pollution to our atmospheric environment. The incidence of all kinds of respiratory diseases is increasing day by day, which has become a horrible threat to human health. As a kind of medical support equipment for respiratory disease treatment, the importance of ventilator is easy to see. Especially, the continuous positive airway pressure ventilator has become the preferred treatment of OSAHS.Although our country has set some national standards for respiratory support facilities, there is still quite a big gap between us and the western developed countries, especially in the research and development of household ventilators, as we started the studies rather late. Therefore, according to the international and domestic standards of ventilators, and referring to the basic structure and function of the existing household ventilators, this paper proposed a design of intelligent household ventilator which offers on-line remote monitoring of the treatment for patients.Firstly, the paper introduced the development history of household ventilator, the research status at home and abroad, and the significance of this research. Then the paper analyzed the working principle and running process of the household ventilator, described the working mode and the regulating method of its basic parameters in detail, and determined the targets and requirements of this design referring to relevant international and domestic standards. In order to realize the effective storage of respiratory therapy data for a long time, and to achieve the convenient condition analysis and treatment strategy adjustment, the ventilator is equipped with many mass storage interfaces like SD card interface and USB interface. In addition, this paper also designs a lot of communication interfaces, you can use the USART and Bluetooth interface for short-range communication and data transmission, and use the Ethernet transmission to realize the remote monitoring.In accordance with the requirements of the design, the paper established the mathematical model of two-layer artificial neural network, and put forward the corresponding ANN algorithm, with which ventilator possesses the ability of autonomous learning. It could determine therapeutic schedule according to different patients’conditions, and achieve the precise control of the parameters such as pressure through the cascade PID controller, providing the patients with a more comfortable breathing experience and better treatment effect.On the basis of deep understanding and study of the ventilator’s functional requirements and relative algorithm structure, the paper achieved the design of the overall hardware architecture of the intelligent household ventilator. The main function modules include brushless DC motor drive and protection module, flow and pressure measurement and control module, the humidifier function module, data storage and transmission module, and HCI module. And according to the corresponding hardware structure, the paper finished designing the system software architecture, adopting the RTOS to realize the interaction and scheduling of the application tasks. The main tasks include key scanning and detection, LCD display and update, flow and pressure measurement and control, Ethernet communication, data storage and transmission, and software anti-interference measures, etc.Finally, to verify if the system functions of the designed ventilator meets the relevant standards and design requirements, the paper tested all the parameters of the ventilator strictly. The testing results show that the performance of the ventilator is stable and reliable, the running noise is low, the respiratory triggering is sensitive, the output pressure is smooth and steady, the temperature control performance of the humidifier is accurate and the Ethernet communication function is well. The main technical parameters of the ventilator has reached the international advanced level, and the ventilator system has the ability of autonomous learning, offering the patients more comfortable breathing experience and better therapeutic effect.
