Hardware-in-the-loop simulation test is one of the necessary testing methods in control system development. Hardware-in-the-loop simulation test can not only speed up the development time but also lower the costs. At the same time, it can support performance testing, function test, extreme condition test and so on. Relying on Hardware-in-the-loop simulation test that has already been validated in developing monitor system of marine diesel engines shortens development time, reduces cost and lifts product quality.Monitor system of marine diesel engines is composed of engine ECU, monitoring system beside the engine, remote and abutments monitoring subsystem. It is used to fully control and potect the marine diesel engine.In this paper, hardware-in-the-loop simulation system of the information systems of the diesel is developed. The hardware in the loop simulation system is composed of PC computer system, simulation ECU and the monitor system of marine diesel engines. The main contents are as follows:1. The information packet sending simulation process of diesel fuel injection ECU uses CANoe as the hardware communication interface and the simulation process is realized by CAPL-language. The CAN application layer protocol is based on the SAE J1939. The triggering mechanism combines time triggers and event triggers to achieve the real-time simulation of ECU Information packet sending. The major information packets involve the engine speed, the intake oil pressure and the output water temperature.2. Based on the requirements of the monitor system of marine diesel engines, Infineon XC2765 is used to develop the simulation ECU. The simulation ECU includes the power supply circuit, MCU, the analog signal output interface(D / A) circuit, the pulse signal output(P / O) interface circuit, the interface circuit of CAN bus and so on.3. Sensor signals generated by the simulation ECU is used to test the data gathering and handling functions. The simulation ECU analog camshaft signal plate(6+1 tooth) and crank signal plate(60-2 teeth) to produce the corresponding 7x and 58 x pulse signal. The analog signal output voltage range of output water temperature sensor from 0~5V. And the analog signal output current range of the intake oil pressure sensor from 4~20m A.The results show that the hardware in the loop simulation system of the monitor system of marine diesel engines developed in this thesis is reasonably practicable through the HIL testing and the real field testing.
