The development of electronic control technology is the key to realize the energy saving and emission reduction of diesel engine,to realize more accurate control rely on the development of complex electronic control system,in order to shorten the development cycle of diesel engine ECU(electronic control unit)and improve ECU development efficiency,combined with many kinds of domestic and overseas proven building plans about ECU hardware in the loop simulation system,for development of laboratory electronic control system,an efficient economical and practical ECU hardware in the loop simulation test bench was proposed.The ECU hardware in the loop simulation is an indispensable part in modern engine electronic control system development process.Firstly according to the function of simulation test bench,accuracy of model simulation,real-time requirements and computational complexity,to determine the schematic modeling.Then the dynamic simulation model of diesel engine is established by LabVIEW software,meanwhile the experimental data are used to verify the model to ensure the simulation accuracy.And then write the programs of signal generation module for the NI CompactRIO drives the NI 9401 board to generate signals which are required and identified by the ECU,such as crankshaft simulation signals and camshafts simulation signals.Furthermore the man-machine interaction interface of the simulation test bench is established,which is used to show the calculation results of the simulation model and record of the data.Finally complete the simulation system of test device fixed assembly,which mainly includes high pressure oil pump,oil rail,fuel injectors etc.With the connection the of software components,the signal conversion parts and test device,to debug the simulation system,prepare for the next ECU test.Next real ECU access to test simulation bench,according to the proposed test program complete the electronic control unit basic function verification under the starting and idling conditions and variable speed conditions at first.And then detect the simulation signals,ECU output control signals,the implementation of the actuator.According to the test results,improve and promote the function of electronic control unit,achieve the desired control effect finally.This process shows that the ECU hardware in the loop simulation test bench can accurately and timely reflect the control strategy of the electronic control unit,which is beneficial to the improvement of the electronic control unit and realize the designing target of the test bench.
