The Comprehensive Analysis Method Research Of The Space Shape Of Spring Settlement

Jinan is famous as "the city of springs".Mountains, springs, lakes, rivers and city mix together organically, commonly construct the overall view of the city. Springs as a unique natural environment and resources of Jinan, not only closely relate to people’s lives in history, but also bear the military defense, urban landscape and so on. Variety of spring water vein system combined with different urban space from the whole space structure of the ancient city down to the local management of ordinary lanes and residences courtyard, produces abundant city space shape, embodies the characteristics of the ancient city of Jinan.As a rare special type and a traditional settlements space shape, spring settlement has attracted widespread attention for the public and the scholars. There also appears a batch of valuable research results and literature analysis. But traditional methods pay more attention to the description, induction and interpretation. It places more emphasis on qualitative conclusions than accurate quantitative conclusions. To some extent, it restricts the further development. Therefore, based on the traditional perception analysis, this study introduces Space Syntax Theory concurrently. By means of contrasting the results of Jinan spring settlement space shape of two methods, it finds out the analysis method of space shape matched with different levels, different scales of spring settlement units and elements. Finally the study puts forward the analysis method combined with perception and Space Syntax. The new method makes the study of space shape of spring settlement get rid of the simple words and pictures description in the past, ascending to the new target height of double parsing and validation of subjective judgment and objective quantitative.The main content of the thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter introduces the research origin, theoretical significance, promotion value and development trend which related to the theory of analysis method of spring settlement and settlement space shape at home and abroad. It confirms the analysis of space shape of Jinan spring settlement in agrarian age featured with spring settlement as the main empirical research object of this paper, and puts forward related research route and research framework.The second chapter points out the differences between the spring settlement and general traditional settlements. It analyzes the dual role of restriction and support the spring to the settlement space shape of ancient city Jinan, and divides the Jinan spring settlement space of agriculture age into three levels of macro, meso and micro type. On this basis to shapeulate the related factors of object content that affect the spring settlement hierarchy spatial shape.The third chapter makes a more detailed summary and finishing of the analysis method of the settlement space shape. The essay divides the known analysis methods into two categories: subjective evaluation method and the quantitative analysis method. On the basis divides the subjective evaluation again into cultural analysis, chart analysis and sensory analysis three categories, and divides the quantitative analysis into quantitative measurement and drawings of quantitative analysis two categories. Preliminary clarifying the corresponding relationship between different quantitative methods and the traditional qualitative analysis and balancing, it works out specific analysis methods of Jinan spring settlement space shape.The fourth chapter content uses the traditional perception of space analysis and Space Syntax respectively to analyze Jinan spring settlement space shape from the macro, meso and micro three levels. And by introducing typical cases of lateral comparison, increases the research’s scientific rationality, In comparing the cognitive, it sums up the specific analysis method suitable for the spring settlement space shape of different levels.As the conclusive chapter, first of all, the fifth chapter expounds the author’s new cognition and summary based on the existing analysis of the spring settlement environment of the ancient city, and then analyzes the limitations and associativity between the subjective perception and the Space Syntax. Finally it puts forwards a new space shape analysis method that combined the subjective perception with the Space Syntax, and discusses the advantages of cognition of Jinan spring settlement environment and the practical significance of sustainable development.The sixth chapter concludes the research conclusions and deficiencies, and makes the future of the study. Hoping in the future parsing process of space shape, we can transshape the conventional analysis methods, complex interaction in different disciplines, and lay the theory foundation for the objective and rational cognition and parsing of places.The presenting and using of combination method of perceptive and syntactic is a kind of methodology discussing. The introduce and successfully analysis broadens the existing research methods and vision, provides the new way of the settlement space shape study, and builds the contrastive and verified bridges between subjective and quantitative methods. But the study has no end. In the future, if we can convert conventional analysis methods in the parsing process of space shape, and complex interaction in different disciplines, it will be more comprehensive in-depth digging human settlements under the surface of space characteristics. Furthermore, it will provide clearly guidance and enlightenment function for the objective rationality cognition for the space and the theory and practice.
