The yielding mechanism "strong column and weak beam" is the seismic design principles of framework structure, it relies on the rotation of beam-end’s plastic hinges to dissipate a great deal of seismic energy and make each layer column in the basically elastic state for a long time, so that, the structure can show good overall coordination ability and ductility. However, several seismic damages show that, ignoring the contribution of rebar in the cast-in-place floor slab which is in the beam-end’s negative moment area to the bearing capacity of frame beam end in structural designing, frame beam end bending shear capacity is greater than the actual bending shear capacity of the end-column, so that, actual frame structure cannot achieve this yielding mechanism and leads to serious damage buildings and casualties. Therefore, it is of great significance to the realization of yielding mechanism "strong column and weak beam" of building structure to mitigate seismic disasters.Taking “5.12 Wenchuan earthquake” damage phenomenon as the research background with a four story RC frame structure as the object of study, this paper proposes to remove floor of node area near the beam end certain width by the openings way, and analyse to gives the reasonable form of hole and opening size by the numerical simulation analysis. At the same time, this paper designs the corresponding node structure details, provides the reference for achieving engineering application of "strong column and weak beam".Through analogical analysis, it is found out that when the hole form is triangle and the hole size is 6 times the thickness, the number of column hinge is the least, deformation of column hinge is smaller, the number of beam hinge is more than column hinge, its deformation also get fully development, that is to say, the frame structure under severe earthquake can achieve the yielding mechanism of "strong column and weak beam".
