Rolling bearing is most widely used parts in mechanical driving support parts, and its basic function is to limit shaft axial and radial displacement in the rotation process and only allow rotary motion axis. The invention of the rolling bearing reduces the friction coefficient, guarantees the rotation accuracy and greatly improve the efficiency of mechanical transmission. However some mechanism needs in the circumferential direction while rotating the spindle, capable of axial movement of bodies, such as corn peeling machine, cotton stalks peeling machine, shelling nuts squeezing and kneading machines require complex movements. The existing bearings usually unable to achieve this form of movement and make the mechanical structure complicated. To simplify the structure of extrusion kneading machine, also for shaft rotary motion with a simpler method into the composite axial rotation and axial reciprocating movement. In this paper, a three-dimensional space circular arc raceway "S" shape curve instead of the traditional plane circular arc of the ball bearing outer ring raceway, then a curved groove ball bearing become a deep groove ball bearings. Implements the radial rotary extrusion and axial rubbing compound movement and simplifies the mechanical structure. However, as a new type of mechanical part, the performance and processing manufacturing methods of curve-groove ball bearing needs to be researched, therefore, this paper has carried out the following work:Firstly, design the whole structure of the curve-groove ball bearing. Propose three different design plans according to the requirements of different agencies, compared and choose the best solution. Calculate each parts of the curve-groove ball bearing, design several kinds of curve channel depending on different movement requirements, draw a two-dimensional picture for groove ball bearing. The 3D model of the bearing is carried out with Pro/E software, using Pro/E program design function for parametric design of bearing. Dynamic simulation on curved groove ball bearings were carried out, which provides the theoretical analysis data for the optimization of curve-groove ball bearing.Secondly, analyze the curve-groove ball bearing’s contact depending on the theory of Hertz. Calculate the stress and the strain conditions between bearing inner、outer rings and the steel ball, retainer and the steel ball at different axial, radial and mixed load. Get the relationship between the stress and strain of bearing and the change of load. It also receives the maximum stress and strain values for the internal bearing, provide a theoretical reference for the finite element analysis of curve-groove ball bearing and lifetime calculation.Thirdly, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench for curve-groove ball bearing static analysis, get the stress and the strain conditions in the axial and radial joint load, compared with the Hertz theoretical calculations. The result shows good agreement between the two, indicates that the ANSYS analysis of curve-groove ball bearings is feasible. Finally, design the curved groove machining tooling for curve-groove ball bearing. Change the vertical curve into a horizontal model curve using the normal milling machine and special cutter. Using a specific shape of milling cutter on the bearing ring in scroll chuck for processing with the of multi-steel ball contact method. It can reduce the raceway’s shape and position processing error. effectivelyThis paper completely design and calculate the curve-groove ball bearing for the first time, using ANSYS software to analysis and achieve the desired purpose. Designed specialized fixture for curve-groove of the ring, which laid the foundation for the follow-up curve-groove ball bearing manufacturing and performance testing.
