Slope deformation analysis is an important aspect of slope safety evaluation, and slope deformation monitoring is the premise of slope safety analysis methods. Since slope engineering is a very complicated system engineering, in order to grasp the real-time state of the slope, monitoring design and safety evaluation have been researched theoretically, appropriate monitoring system was presented, which has practical significance for us to prevent slope disasters.This paper is based on the project of "Study on the evaluation system and dynamic assessment method of the safety situation in subgrade and slope (No.2011 318 740 240)".Based on the summary of load characteristic and operating characteristic of specific engineering objects of highway slope in our country, slope structure system were divided into two types of basic slope, namely, general subgrade slope and cutting slope. The numerical analysis results about two typical kinds of slope structures(soil slope and bedding rock slope) were analyzed, combining with the investigation and engineering practice and considering the influence factors of the slope stability, it concluded that displacement is the principal monitoring parameter of safety evaluation, and index system of slope safety condition monitoring parameters were put forwarded.Design of highway slope monitoring was researched, highway slope monitoring and safety evaluation were discussed. The purpose and role of slope monitoring was researched, the main content of the theory of slope monitoring design was summarized. Combined with the index system of monitoring parameters, dynamic monitoring and control system design vision were put forwarded, according to the characteristics of highway slope. Dynamic safety coefficient and its calculation analysis were presented, which considered slope dynamic variation characteristics of the slope. By analyzing the relationship between displacement characteristics and potential sliding surface of slope, the correlation of surface displacement and safety coefficient was explored, a graphic method was put forwarded which divided the potential slide wedge into limit equilibrium wedge and stable wedge to acquire the safety coefficient. In the end, considering the instability of block scope and the importance of engineering, early warning indicators were put forwarded.Finally, by LabVIEW development platform, dynamic monitoring system based on the monitoring information of slope was developed. The system, with friendly man-machine interface,had been put into field operation, its stability had been verified as well. And data storage and query, situation image display and the analysis of monitoring data and other functions were available to the monitoring software. This system is of scientific reference value for slope monitoring.
