Compared with the rapid development of China’s railway construction, the lagging development of railway water supply technology is particularly prominent. The low degree of automation of passenger train water supply system has been unable to meet the current needs of the rapid development of the railway.Especially water supply systems of some large passenger train station resulted in energy waste in the later operation process and frequent railway malfunction and seriously affected the quality of water supply services, and even became a direct threat to traffic safety due to the unreasonable design and poor quality of construction. Increasing investment in technology of railway water supply system, continuously enhancing the level of automation in water supply system, reducing energy consumption and improving the reliability of water supply and service level are important to adapt to the rapid development of China’s railway.This article put forward the corresponding optimization, improvement and measures by studying on the prominent issue of water supply system in domestic passenger train station and combining with the trend of rapid development of railway. By analyzing and summarizing current situation of water supply system in domestic passenger train station, pointing out that increase investments in technology and optimize the water supply system is a priority in the light of energy saving, winter protection, weak centralized control ability and low level of automation.In this paper, a railway station is taken as an example to analyze the ubiquitous problem of energy waste and insufficient adjustment ability of water storage facilities of water supply system in the domestic passenger train water supply station. By on-site measurement and test and other ways to determine the optimization and measures and introduce the advanced non-negative pressure technology of water supply in business line to solve the typical problems. Meanwhile, the paper point out the research that introduce electric tracing can solve passenger train water supply and winter protection of fire-fighting facilities in the light of actual situation of cold climate in winter in northern area in China. By designing and contributing water supply centralized control system to enhance the level of automation of water supply system.This paper also research about automation facilities of passenger train water supply and provide reference for comprehensive realization of automation of passenger train water supply in the future. Finally, I made a brief summary and evaluation about optimization and measures of water supply system in passenger train water supply station.
