As the means of regional transportation connection between large center city and the surrounding satellite cities, as well as suburbs and outer suburbs, intercity railway becomes the first choice to the development of regional traffic because of its characteristics of fast speed, large capacity, low carbon,safety and comfort. And the rapid development of intercity railway naturally can not leave the continuous development of welding, grinding technology and equipment quality of rail joints. As a final technical mean of rail transit line before opening--fine grinding technology to welding joints, can ensure a straight and smooth transition in the welding joints of rails, which have a great significance for safe, high-speed, comfortable operation of intercity railway.In accordance with the standard requirements of Rail Welding of TB/T1632, the normal or qualified welding joints are slightly arching, and are not allowed submerging. And the excess welding metal to joints add the extra enormous vibration and lash to high-speed train when the train pass, which can accelerate the wear and rupture of the train’s parts and wheels, therefore, the profiling grinding and fine grinding of welding joints after welding is particularly important. Now, semiautomatic grinding machine,which is hard to controlled and has a poor efficiency, and automatic numerical controlled profiling grinding machine,which is so hard to carry that it can not be moved frequently, is still used in the construction scene of intercity railway. Obviously, exploring a easy-installed and easy-removed quickly automatic numerical controlled profiling grinding machine or technology which can improve the construction efficiency and reduce the labor intensity of workers are extremely urgent.Referring to related literature at home and abroad on rail grinding and detailed investigation on the suburban railway construction site, in order to improve the efficiency of engineering and quality of fine grinding, this thesis explores a set of key technology and process on rail grinding of intercity railway in the background of automatic fine grinding machine researched by the department of rail welding engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University, namely the modular automatic profiling machine (device) and portable profiling machine (process), to provide technical support and process guarantee.The results of using and debugging of this machine and process show that: the modular automatic numerical controlled profiling device can disassemble or assemble fast in 15 minutes; it can change the way of working easily and have a high efficiency and quality of polishing; the portable automatic numerical controlled profiling device with a single unit operation have a compact structure and work conveniently, and it can meet the requirements of fine grinding and "all-weather" operation of intercity railway after rail welding. The control method of PLC-Inverter instead of the PLC-Contactor are more flexible and broad to the range of grinding, reciprocating speed, scanning speed and cutter speed.
