Electric locomotive is charged with the daunting task of transport. Sanding systems can directly improve the adhesion coefficient between Wheel and track. High performance sanding system can effectively suppress idle wheel. In the harsh conditions of the wheel-rail, sanding can improve locomotive wheel rail adhesion to improve traction performance, thereby to protect the transport capacity and traffic safety. However sanding solenoid valve plays the most crucial role in the sanding systems. In order to accurately and reliably test the role of sanding solenoid valve function, electrical and mechanical properties, it requires a comprehensive test system. The test system needs to accurately verify sanding all the performance of the solenoid valve to ensure sanding solenoid valve function and reliability, for the safe operation of the locomotives of great significance.First, the article identifies its test items and test methods based on sanding solenoid valve structure and function and working principle. The overall design scheme proposed test bench system based on the structure. The two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional model of the structure diagram of the test station cabinet are established in this paper. After determining the overall program of the test bench, the pneumatic and electrical system of test bench are designed according to functional requirements. Components are selected based on the performance requirements of test bench, and they are consisting of hardware systems.To automate the test bench testing process and improve production efficiency, sanding solenoid software program is designed with the Visual Basic language based on test process.The software has the friendly interactive interface. Different program modules are designed to achieve data acquisition, processing and output, document management and preservation, sensor calibration, personnel management, printouts and other functions. Binding test software and hardware can greatly improve the accuracy and efficiency of the experimental test results.
