With urban construction, public space in small towns, increased surface runoff, reduced groundwater and water pollution, such as the stormwater problem is increasingly serious. At the same time, due to the backward design concept, design standard is low, the high cost of construction mode, high in towns and stormwater issues is difficult to be resolved in the short term, the public space, urban residential environment for the damage.Therefore, this article from the perspective of sustainable stormwater management for sustainable stormwater management under the guide of public space planning of small towns were studied. Thesis mainly include sustainable stormwater management fundamental research, the relationship between public space and sustainable stormwater management of small towns, small towns sustainable stormwater management under the guide of public space planning and practice and explore the content of the four aspects.Sustainable stormwater management fundamental studies, including small towns public space sustainable stormwater management runoff mechanism, management objectives, management facilities analysis and summary.The relationship between public space and sustainable stormwater management of small towns, including the value of public space for sustainable stormwater management of small towns and small towns public space for traditional construction mode analysis of the impact of sustainable stormwater management; By identifying the types of small towns public space can support mechanism of runoff, evaluate the runoff reduction, delaying the peak occurrence time, slowing down the velocity of runoff and pollution load cuting the four indicators.
