The Study Of Adaptability Reformation On Reconstruction Of Existing Public Building External Envelope

The building renovation of the existing public building has been concerned and studied for a long time, the building external envelope affects the effects of the building renovation, which as a interfaces that connect the interior construction spacing and the outdoor spacing. In the progress of practice in building renovation, there are many questions such as the loss of identity of city culture and the renovation doesn’t improve the building performance. This paper puts forward two strategies for existing building envelope renovation: the first one is the cultural adaption strategy, which is aimed to protect the role of existing public building in the spirit of place, the strategy concerns transformation principle and the rebuilding mode of the existing public building. The second strategy is to improve the technology strategy of the existing public building, this paper mainly by the library of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture as an example, by the way of spot investigation, questionnaire investigation and measurement software simulation analysis, comprehensive analysis the status of indoor thermal environment, indoor air environment and indoor light environment, and compare the effects of results of renovation by the computer to analysis. In the last, this paper try to propose the principle of cultural adaption strategy, and a list of technical measures of existing public building renovation.The thesis is divided into five chapters and conclusion chapters:The first chapter is the background of existing public building renovation. In this part, the paper discusses the background of renovation, the necessity of renovation, the significance of renovation, this paper proposes the research contents, research object, research method and research framework.The second chapter is the investigation of present situation and study on external envelope of the existing public building renovation. The research of related fields at home and abroad, by the way of investigate the present situation of existing public building renovation. And summarize the history of the development of the building external envelope, and the influencing factors on building envelope renovation.The third chapter from the perspective of cultural adaptation strategies based on the envelope as a function of the historical context and urban memory carriers, in this part, this paper proposes the system of the renovation, which system contains same quality and heterogeneous. Then the paper combined with the related cases to analysis the principle of continuation and contrast from the material, shape, color and technology and other aspects of adaption.The fourth chapter from the perspective of adaption strategies, by the means of investigation of measurement and subjective questionnaire survey, the paper analysis the indoor thermal environment, air environment and light environment, try to find the deficiency of indoor environment of the library.The fifth chapter, by the means of computer aid analysis, the paper analysis the indoor thermal environment, air environment and light environment, and proposes different ways to solve the problems, and compare the effects of renovation of different ways.The sixth chapter is the summary of the paper, the paper summarizes the existing adaptive envelope renovation of public buildings of the cultural strategy and technology strategy, and points out the existing problems and the future.
