The High-rise Residential Quarters Design Based On New Urbanism

With the rapid growth of China’s economy, the speeding up of urbanization and increasing of urban population, the urban land resource is more and more nervous; Land and housing system reform and the commercialization of housing policy implementation, contributed to the large-scale construction of high-rise residential quarters. But the special living pattern, leads to the lack of neighbors, interpersonal indifference, drab living space, etc.This paper aims to the theory of "new urbanism", combining the actual requirement of high-rise residential construction in our country, searching for the guiding significance of "new urbanism" theory to modern high-rise residential design in our country. To improve technical measures and theory support for many disadvantages now existing in the design of high-rise residential quarters, providing feasible basis theory for optimization of residential construction in China. In short, to bring in the "new urbanism" theory as the guiding ideology of high-level residential design, to explore how to combine humanistic and ecological idea, diversity and personalized design with high-rise residential quarters.This essay first has carried on the summary to research subject, this paper expounds the formation background of China’s contemporary high-rise residential development situation, and through the investigation to the present situation of high-rise residential quarters in Dalian, then summing up the problems exist. After the introduction of "new urbanism" theory with its development and evolution, according to the design of the high-rise residential problems, explore "new urbanism" theory in the application of its design strategy, and combined with case analysis in China and abroad, put forward its own views and perspectives.The conception of this paper is to summarize from the reality and existing theory, on the basis of field research and design practice, within the scope of the depth of research subject to put forward some practical point of view, and hope to be able to have a certain reference value and practical significance to the high speeddevelopment of the high-rise residential.
