This text systematically presents the research and development of a 26T(26 tons) mechanical single drum vibratory roller. It discusses the overall plan of the transmission system, main parameters, the calculation and analysis of the main parts and type test, the test discusses the content of complete the roller series, promote the product performance and reliability, appearance and comfort of manipulation.It shows that the big mechanical single drum vibratory roller can meet the requirement of the market from the result of the investigation of the roller current development and its trend. Now most of the mechanical vibratory roller product focus at 22T except one type of 26T. It has a positivesignificance to enlarge the 26T roller family to enhance the technology level and update the product. Based on the comparison and analysis of the technology distance between domestic and overseas product, this research focus on enhancement of the appearance and comfort of manipulation besides the basic performance, oriented at design a 26T mechanical single drum vibratory roller with good looking appearance, advanced technology, brilliant work and cost performance and strong market competitiveness.This test researches the overall transmission plan and machine performance matching and confirms the rear mount engine and the transmission type of’engine+ main clutch+gear box’and supplier choice, confirm the vibratory amplitude, frequency and force from the research of the compaction theory, calculates the working speed and its grade ability, travel, vibratory and steering power at every gear. The results shows that the max power appears at the of 2st gear big amplitude, climbing working condition, we examines the engine at that condition and the prototype test shows its fulfill the real working condition.This test analyses and researches the key influences factor to the performance and reliability, such as vibratory compaction performance, vibratory drum reliability factor and structure and vibratory bearing life,the damping system’s affect to manipulation, hydraulic system, brake system etc.This test take the modeling and comfortable manipulation research as key points too. It promote the appearance by designing a hexahedral cab, streamline rear engine hood and a irregular multiple segment frame assemble. The cab with ROPS and FOPS promote its safety, big arc window glass enlarges the view of the operator, the designing of floor board frame and cab as a whole reduces the noise near operator’s ears, the four points damping mounted, electrical-operated level and gear changing provides a very comfortable manipulation.This text also discusses the machining and test process of the vibratory drum to analyze the influence of process control to machine quality, introduces the debugging process of the engine, hydraulic parts and other key parts. The prototype test indicates that the every index fulfill the requirements of the national standard, the machine acquires a obviously technical progress especially on whole performance, reliability, appearance, cab sealing, manipulation comfort.
