The percolation of the earth-rockfill dam affects seriously the safety and the economic benefits of the project,threating the security of the people’s life and property safety in downstream of the reservoir. Compared to the horizontal seepage measures, The vertical anti-seepage reinforcement measures is more suitable for anti-seepage treatment in permeable foundation and more particularly evident in reducing seepage flow.Composite geo-membrane is one of the vertical anti-seepage reinforcement measures,which is light in weight, easy for transportation and quickly for construction, etc.For the above advantage, it reduces the cost of the project,has a good seepage effect, high durability, safety and reliability.It is widely used in water conservancy and hydropower projects, reservoir reinforcement engineering, etc.But now, there is the lack of a theoretical study on the effect of composite geo-membrane. Not to speak of the example of combined use of geomembrane and the concrete cutoff wall.In this paper, through the analysis of the mechanism of penetration of composite geo-membrane,combining with clay sloping core dam of zhuangli reservoir reinforcement project,we analyze the effect of impermeable in the composite geomembrae and concrete cutoff wall application conditions.By analyzing the hydrological,meteorological and geological conditions in Project Area, we determined the engineering of characteristic water level, the permeability coefficient of dam of materials,the tasks and scale of this project and checked the rationality of the adoptive information;Introduced the frequently-used seepage control technique in the project, took the design of composite geomembrane and the concrete cutoff wall,two kinds of vertical seepage control technology,analyzed the main principles of the design of seepage control technique and calculated the parameters;After repeated comparison,combined with the characteristics of the project and analogized to the other projects,then chose the composite geomembrane reinforcement as the design scheme preliminarily,and arrange the main building; analyzes the basic theory of the finite element method,using the software Autobank6.0 based on the finite element method,takes the permissive permeability gradient as the control target,established the seepage analysis model;Selects the typical section, Calculated and mapped the equipotential line graph and hydraulic grade diagram of two kinds of vertical anti-seepage technology in 6 kinds of working conditions,the different combinations in the cross section,Analyzed and contrasted the Earth dam seepage situation in Non prevention measures and different seepage model,validated The feasibility and effectiveness of the combined impervious form of Composite geo-membrane and Concrete cutoff wall; discussed the questions in the results,Put forward the possible solutions,Considering all the influential factors,finally chose The optimal strengthening scheme of this project, that is the combined impervious form of Composite geo-membrane in the Upstream dam slope and Concrete cutoff wall in the base of dam; his article provides practical experience for the composite geo-membrane technology in Reinforcement Project.
