As the main way to transform nature, building has played a significant role in promoting economic and social development. However, raw materials occupied, energy consumption, pollution and waste generated in human’s constructing and using different types of buildings and ancillary facilities account for 30% to 50% of the global total. Since the global energy crisis broke out, the international and domestic communities are increasingly concerned about the environment, seeking to the balance between the development and the environment.Green building is the result of the concept of sustainable development in the construction industry. It has obvious advantages in terms of energy saving and environmental protection, but it also exists a huge potential risk. The object of this study is project risk management of green building, and the core content of the study is risk identification and risk ranking. Risk identification is based on the full life cycle theory, documentation summarized and analysis of the environment green building faces, and it includes identifying risk factors faced by each stage of the life cycle, classification and source analysis of these risk factors. This study uses analytic hierarchy process and the method of risk ranking which is the integration of the triangular fuzzy numbers, gray system theory, TOPSIS and vector projection to rank the risk factors of green building. Different from the domestic risk ranking which is also based on the full life cycle theory, this paper regards risk factors in each stage as ranking objects, emphasizing the role of decision-makers’ risk appetite. The implementation of the risk ranking for each stage of the full life cycle, better defines the priorities and sequencing of actual risk management of green building, and improves risk management efficiency.
