The vehicle-mounted satellite antenna played an important role in news reports, troops communications, sports broadcasting and scientific communication. The on-board satellite antenna systems on the market has the advantage of accurate location and high speed of execution with permanent magnet synchronous motor as the actuator.But it is high cost and has complex control algorithm. There also has servo system which uses DSP as the control core and stepper motor as the actuator. But the control of stepping motor is mostly open loop, thusing causing the poor position-setting precision,and the slower execution speed. So it cannot meet the needs of users.This paper designs a kind of vehicle-mounted satellite antenna stepping servo system which is called "jing zhong tong" according to the specifications and requirements.The servo system uses C8051F040 MCU as control core, the two-phase hybrid stepping motor as the actuator. The closed-loop control strategy is used in bearing stepper motor and pitch stepper motor. On mechanical rotating transformer is with stepper motor coaxial installation and the circuit takes special rotary variable decoding chip to read the position information of the stepping motor.The polarization stepper motor is driven by high subdivision open-loop control strategy which is completed by using stepper motor driver chip.This article firstly introduced the structure of two-phase hybrid stepping motor and its operation principle and drive technology. Then completed the hardware circuit design with C8051F040 as control core, CPLD as logic and sequential circuits and I/O port expansion. Software programming and debugging is completed on the basis of the hardware circuit design, thus optimizing the function of the hardware circuit. Finally, the servo system has carried on the no-load and load experiment. It is verified that the servo system has the function of presetting and reaches the requirements of the technical indicators.
