RC shear wall structure is a kind of building system which has more superior performance than frame structure. Because of the larger lateral stiffness and excellent seismic performance,it is widely used in high-rise buildings now.Short limb shear wall is a new system which has the advantages such as frame structure and shear wall structure.It has become the latest must-haves in the high-rise building system.Current specification in our country don’t allow to open hole on short limb shear wall.In the practical engineering,due to the owner’s different requirements of architectural function, some holes often needed to be opend in different position on the shear wall leg.Opening on short limb shear wall will cause stress concentration phenomenon,affect the bearing capacity of the wall.In this paper,based on L-style short leg shear wall with circular hole,to study the bearing performance of the short limb shear wall.This paper do several aspects as following:1.According to test modle similarity principle,made 4 test models of1/2 percentage,three with different diameter hole,one without hole.In elastic range,do the vertical monotonic load continuous test,get the load-displacement curve and load-strain curve;2.Using finite element analysis establish finite element analysis model with hole on wall limb,analyze.the elastic properties of the finite element model of different void sizes of the wall.Drawing the wall load displacement curve and stress map; compared the simulation results to the experiment results.3.Starting from the actual mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete,introduce the constitutive relation and failure criterion,use the nonlinear finite element method to analyse short leg shear wall without hole,with different size hole and different position hole.Get the law of cracking load and ultimate load with different hole size and different hole position.4.Calculate the bearing capacity of short leg shear wall with hole on the leg,and compared with the results of ANSYS.
