With the development of the society and the progress of science and technology, energy conservation and environmental protection has become one of the most concern of the people. The discovery of electricity transformed people’s lifestyle, the generation of electricity also caused a huge energy consumption and environmental pollution. One of the important measures of energy conservation is to reduce environmental pollution. According to statistics, used in the lighting electricity accounts for over 20% of the total electricity, if the lighting power consumption is reduced to below 5%, then will greatly reduce the consumption of energy. The emergence of LED make the idea come true. LED with the advantages of its safe and reliable energy conservation and environmental protection is gradually replacing traditional incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp, has become the fourth generation of lighting source. In the next few years, LED lighting will be going into the households. Means that the research of LED lighting is very important. As we all know the complete LED lighting including light sources and driving power, and the LED drive power supply directly affects the performance of the luminous efficiency and stability of the LED light source, so the LED driver power supply has the vital significance.At present, various kinds of LED drive power supply, the company manufacturers of the LED drive power of research has been performed. However common LED drive power supply on the market, there are some problems need to be solved. Such as high calorific value, safety performance is poor, short service life and single function, etc. To solve this problems, this paper designed a LED drive power supply. This drive power supply in the energy conversion circuit part adopts the method of double the power switch tube interactive work, inhibits the rise of temperature of the power switch tube, so as to prolong the service life of the power of the whole, the input circuit and design a good protection of circuit can realize lightning resistance function, in order to reduce power consumption, the power supply can be opened and closed according to the change of external lighting intelligent LED light, and can realize the function of the dimmer according to need.This paper also introduces the development status and trend of LED drive power supply, introduces the source of this topic and research significance. Through the analysis of the LED luminous principle, according to the characteristics of LED to choose the appropriate connections and drive way. Introduces the commonly used principle of switch power supply, analysis and calculation the parameters of the circuit principle. Finally made the design of the LED drive power supply, and testing related parameters. Through the analysis of test results, it shows that the performance is superior to the traditional LED drive power supply, according to Arrhenius theory, life will double, show the rationality and effectiveness of the design.
