With the development of the times and the progress of science and technology, the needs of the customers is changing in the period of social transition, from the using and features requirement of product economy times to the experience requirement of experience economy times, meanwhile, the fridge product is facing more challenge as well as opportunities. More people begin to realize the importance of if the product could meet the demands of material usage dimension even if they could meet the demands of spiritual dimension. Furthermore, the increasingly heated competition market about fridge products is sharpening. Consequently, bringing more healthy lifestyle and better experience through fridge product design is becoming the target of many designer and fridge companies.The paper is based on the above research background, embark from the general theory of fridge product and life style to analysis the development and situation of fridge product, technique classification of fridge product as well as the future trend of fridge product, combining the concept of lifestyle, elements of lifestyle and the research method of lifestyle to make sure the value of lifestyle in product design and the relationship between product design and the lifestyle; and then through really investigates and studies for the urban households in Yangtze River Delta to we could understand the using environment and using behavior about fridge product, through the in-depth interview we could understand their concerns and satisfaction when they purchasing the fridge or using the fridge; and then combining the previous literature research and qualitative research we could build measurement-mode which match the requirement of the research and the target groups, next step we could gather the data of target users by using the lifestyle measurement-mode, and then analyze these data by using the method of cluster analysis, correspondence analysis and cross analysis. Finally we could generalize the lifestyle typical characteristics about the urban households in Yangtze River Delta, and divide the target groups according to these typical characteristics. Finally, the paper proposed the interaction design strategy and design principle for the urban households in Yangtze River Delta in the fridge design project, and then conducted design practices according to some relevant conclusion which sum up through previous research.Through the research about behavior actions, view of value, consumption model and using model of the urban households in Yangtze River Delta, the designers could understand the behavior actions and mental changes in a closer position, they could ensure the product or service according to the research conclusion to work in the real world smoothly and meet the real needs of target users. I, the Yangtze River Delta is one of the China’s most vigorous economic regions, focusing on the lifestyle research about the users in this regions, generalizing the interaction design strategy and design principle for the urban households in Yangtze River Delta according to the lifestyle research, they could help the company know more about their target customers, including some typical needs or requirement, finally these company could design and put out more enjoyable fridge product which could meet the physiological and psychological requirement of target users even build a more targeted marketing strategy.
