In recent years, the rapid development of motor vehicles, which is damaging our environment, traffic congestion has become more and more serious. "People oriented, sustainable development" high quality of traffic planning concept become more and more important. Most of the urban transportation planning only consider the car traffic, and neglect the development of slow traffic so that it is lack of the development space. This is not a concern to take lightly that the construction of slow traffic system, so at the same time we not only to develop rapid transit but also to focus on the planning and construction of the slow traffic.First of all, in this paper, on the basis of summarizing the development course of slow traffic at home and abroad as well as research status to analysis what is the impact of factors of pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The research object of this thesis is based on the planning method of slow traffic in the city regional that analysing the theory and technical method of city slow traffic planning, and analysising the forecast of city slow traffic demand plays an increasingly important role in transportation planning field in China. Through refer to a large amount of literatures in the relevant field from home and abroad, summarize several methods of the foreast slow traffic’s demand as well as analysis and comparison the scope of application that the way of forecast the demand. The research of this paper is the method of the regional city’s slow traffic, Basing on this, putting forward the suitable way that it’s space syntax which is used for regional slow traffic planning feasible proof.Through research and analysis is associated with slow traffic characteristics, pick up axis analysis method that is suitable for slow traffic in Shijiazhuang, regional analysis of slow traffic variables calculations. Drawing the axis graph that is put forward to Hillier is based on the type of road proposed West of the city and the urban’s roads is too narrow. But China’s urban road network structure is more complex. If we are full of the western road network to analyze the situation of China’s urban slow traffic, there will be some limitations. Because it is not consistent with the country’s road network.On this basis, the influence relationships between city regional road width and slow traffic, construct the prediction model of slow road width based on the theory of traffic demand forecasting. In combination with Shijiazhuang’s geographical location and traffic conditions, case analysis, to verify the slow traffic demand method.
