Microwave landing system applicable to all kinds of civil and military aviation airport and all kinds of plane, can be used for all-weather, automatic landing, based on the the information sent by the equipment on the ground provide precise three-dimensional guidance information, and at the same time can provide pilots with a variety of information.The development of the modern high and new technology and rapid development of aviation industry, requires a higher performance of the approach and landing system. The approach and landing system provide the azimuth and elevation information of the planes relative to the runway The approach and landing system plays a vital role in the process of the plane landed. High-speed flight of aircraft can’t land automatic without the high performance microwave land system.The antenna subsystem is made up of 32 radiation units and feed net work. According to the design requirement about miniaturization, microstrip antenna elements are and double stripline T junction power divers are used in subsystem.This paper is base on the scientific research project to study shaped beam antenna. We design a antenna subsystem base on the microwave landing guidance system azimuth scanning antenna technique index. This antenna subsystem can form a shaped beam in azimuth plane.The research contents include beam synthesis in elevation plane, the design of radiation element, the design of the feeding network. The main contents as the flowing:1. To demonstration the whole antenna project according to the given electrical specification. Include the antenna theory, the realization of the array antenna form, the structural of the array antenna and beam synthesis.2. According to the actual bean direction and the target figure beam, to calculate the amplitude and phase distribution of the antenna radiating element by using the least square method.3. To design and simulate the air microstrip antenna element according to the antenna subsystem requirements.4. To design stripline feeding network according the distribution of the amplitude and phase. Analyze and solve the problems in the process.5. To simulate and debug the whole system of the array antenna. And analyze and solve the problems until meet the requirements of the index.
