The active protection system using hard kill mode is a fire-new kind of protection technique on tank. Now, the technique is developing all over the world for advancing battlefield survivability largely under controlling weight of the tank. Intercept probability that is one of the important specifications of active protection system as the last defense for the tank, is very important. The paper mainly researches the intercept probability of active protection system using hard kill mode.Firstly, the paper discusess the overall technology scheme of active protection system using hard kill mode. It analyses the intercept capability of overall process, confirms the influence of the system parameters for missile-target intersection probability, establishes the model of missile-target intersection, finishes the simulation software and calculates the amount of fragments hitting target in single intercept process. On the base, the paper defines the rule of effective system interception, calculates the intercept probability and analyses the influence of the system parameters by using Monte-Carlo method. The research result show that the errors in a certain bound have a weak influence for intercept probability on the flight distance, the heading and the roll angle of the fence missile, the pitching angle of the target and the errors on the launch angle and attitude angle of the fence missile have a distinctness influence.The real missile intercepting experiment that validating the researching result, show that the active protection system can intercept incoming munition successfully, when the optimizational system parameter and the error is in a certain bound.The research achievement can directly used in for overall designing of active protection system.
