| Usually, in the study area of thermal comfort degree people pay more attention to indoor environment and urban heat island effect. However, as the development of modern society, the resident life quality has experienced a qualitative leap, the outdoor sporting time has increased a lot as well.Traditional Huizhou settlement is the interaction of human activities and nature in particular geographical and socio-economic background. To learn outdoor thermal environment of traditional Huizhou settlement, firstly, we should understand the history, geographical location and surrounding climatic characteristics of the settlement; secondly, we should use the correct evaluation model to evaluate the comfort degreeof outdoor thermal environment; in addition, we should know the factors and mechanism of outdoor thermal comfort degrees, combined with the evaluation model results, then we can accurately evaluate traditional settlement outdoor environment comfort degree, and propose a method to improve the outdoor thermal environment.This research monitors the live main meteorological parameters under summer high temperature of four classical traditional Huizhou settlements – Pingshan, Xidi, Lucun, Xixinan. Firstly, analyse the relationship between the temperature and humidity of four different underlying surfaces and each natural settlement environment separately, comparing with the uav aerial photography image. Then, with the usage of mathematical fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, select highest daily temperature, relative humidity and wind speed as summer comfortdegree evaluation index, conduct a quantitative assessment of climate comfort degree of the four traditional Huizhou settlements, Validate the assessment using THI temperature and humidity index, combined with the Huizhou region-specific living environment, study the climate livability of traditional Huizhou settlement; Especially for Xixinan plain area, apply live data and Outdoor Comfort Mathematical Evaluation Model(OTCD) to study the current micro-climate and climate comfort improvement factors of traditional ancient Huizhou settlement.Results show that the entire micro climate and environment of Huizhou City is fairly comfortable, for the sum of the first three items in comfortable level index(C1+, C2+ and C3) is more than 0.5. Pingshan County and Xidi Village have higher comfort index, whose most comfortable level index(C1) is higher than 0.20. Lu village is worse and South Xixi Town, which get 0.48 on the uncomfortable level index(C4), is the least comfortable place. These results are consistent with what shows from evaluation by temperature-humidity index(THI). After comparing temperature and humidity value in different regions of South Xixi Town, we can find that the new blocks have higher temperature and less humidity than old ones. Areas near water have the lowest temperature and highest humidity. Green grasses and underlying surface measures, including closed conduits or cold lanes, are able to adjust thermal environment out door: it is monitored that human body comfort value of closed conduits is 2.66 to 5.30 on average less than of background; the average decreasing value of cold lanes is up to 5.82 to 14.01; The grass, on average, reduce the human body comfort value by the amount of 0.24 to 1.78. Major factors that can improve micro climate of villages include structure of water system in traditional settlements, green coverage, cold lanes, closed conduits and regional environment close to mountain and water. They have strong feasibility to combining with architectural design, which provides reference for future urban rural construction. |
