For the importance of power transmission and transformation equipments in power system and the situation of promoting the smart grid to the national strategy,the research of total life cyclemanagement system of power transmission and transformation equipments based on IOT im-plements the intelligent and transparent management of the power transmission and transformati on equipments. The system plays an important role in improving the visualization, accurate ma-nagement, the quality of management and benefit of power system fixed assets. It’s of great sig-nificance to promote the construction of the smart grid.Closely combined with the situation of power transmission and transformation equipments management in power system, this paper puts forward to build a B/S model of power transmission and transformation equipments which is based on RFID technology and. NET technology. This system takes advantage of RFID+.NET+SQL Server to realize the basic functions of the total life cycle management system of power transmission and transformation equipments. It realizes the standardization, modernization and information management of power transmission and transformation equipment, and improves the quality and efficiency of the management.The main work of this paper focuses on three aspects. First,with the method of system analysis, combining the actual characteristics of grid power transmission and transformation equipments to study the desirability, necessity, feasibility of the total life cycle management of electric power system. Second, Design the overall framework of the total life cycle management of electric power system, comprehensively and scientifically demonstrate its function, structure, and technical indicators, and expound the hardware and software system design scheme.Third, design the total life cycle management of electric power system.
