Cable-stayed bridge has become one of the main bridge type in the large span bridge structure with its strong spanning capacity, small navigation effect, big overall stiffness, good seismic performance and low cost, so form of modern bridges in our country also select more and more of the cable-stayed bridge. With the increasing of cable-stayed span and suspension tower structure constantly updating, it is necessary to use the load test to check the quality of the bridge of cable-stayed bridge. Cable-stayed bridge load test can not only directly reflect the bridge’s safety and applicability and can accumulate experience for the same bridge design, but also can provide the necessary basic information for the bridge while it is in the operation and maintenance procedures.This paper relies on a project of a profiled single tower cable-stayed bridge to investigate the load test, the main contents are as follows:Establish the finite element model of cable-stayed bridge using finite element analysis software Midas/Civil 2012. Through the finite element modeling, the internal force and deformation of the cable-stayed bridge under the design live load are calculated to obtain the test control section; the bridge’s deflection and strain theoretical solution of control section in each of the test conditions are calculated; the first three modes and natural frequency of the bridge are obtained after analyzing the finite element model.Verifying the bridge design is reasonable, and provide reference for future similar bridges finite element modeling.Through static load, the load test has measured cable-stayed bridge’s girder normal stress, the distribution of beam height and width, girder deflections, Sarasota stress, cable tension and crack development situation. Through dynamic load test, the dynamic characteristics of the bridge and the strain of bridge under the particular dynamic load are measured. Use the comparison of the measured data and the theoretical solution of finite element simulation to evaluate the working conditions of the cable-stayed bridge. The test results show that the appearance of cable-stayed bridge is good, the working state of the bridge structure is good, dynamic performance meets the design requirements and the overall structure meets the design load level highway grade I bearing capacity and stiffness requirements.So the result in this paper can be used for reference for the same type bridge construction control and load test, and the result can also provide data reference for cable-stayed bridge design and test specification.
