Load test is a practical science and technology with strong comprehensiveness, application and complexity, which involves the structure design and construction technology etc. It is a kind of scientific research test for the special structure bridge. Cable-stayed bridge with its own superiority is widely popularized. The development of modern cable-stayed bridge become more and more long span. This paper is conducted to study the load test of large span steel truss common rail amphibious cable-stayed bridge based on the load test of Chongqing East Gate Yangtze River Bridge.The purpose of this study is to summarize the static and dynamic load test of the bridge, formulate test plan and study the finite element method of structure analysis. The finite element model is established based on the characteristics of Chongqing East Gate Yangtze River Bridge for the theoretical calculation and analysis of the bridge by the finite element method to get the corresponding theoretical calculation data and design the test plan of the static and dynamic load test of the bridge which determine the load test conditions and arrangement of measuring points, etc.On the premise of ensuring the results of load test, the theoretical values were compared with the measured deformation of control section of each working condition and calculate the calibration coefficients of the structure which determined the stress performance of the structure to meet the requirements of the designed load. At the same time, the sports car and the car brake were tested in the dynamic load test to determine the actual impact coefficient of the bridge through data analysis which was compared with the theoretical designed value. The space finite element model of Chongqing East Gate of Yangtze River Bridge was established by using Midas/Civil, and analyzed the modal theoretically to get the theoretical natural vibration mode and frequency of the bridge, and compare with the measured modal parameters.The study is conducted to understand the actual stress condition and performance of the bridge structure through the analysis of the load test results, accumulate reliable data for the same type of bridge design, maintenance, construction through comparative analysis on the measured data, and put forward the improvement proposal combined with the static and dynamic characteristics of the large span common rail amphibious cable-stayed bridge of Chongqing Watergate East Yangtze River Bridge.
