In this paper, in order to better solve the problems of waterproof and leakage of underground silos, the steel-concrete composite structure is used. The structure is made of concrete and steel plate wrapping it. The steel plate corrosion is an urgent problem to be solved. As a result, this paper focus on the choice steel plate and anticorrosion measures for the different environment.Based on a lot of documents, the corrosion regularity of steel plates in the sea water and soils are summarized. In addition, the comprehensive mechanical properties, market prices, processing technology, etc. are analyzed. Consequently, it is found that the ship steel is more suitable for the steel-concrete composite structure underground silos in sea water. Through the research on the anti-corrosion methods, the method combining epoxy coating and sacrificial anode can effectively protect the steel plate from the corrosion and can be used to prevent the steel plate corrosion in the underground silos.
