In this paper,aiming at minimizing the impact of trams passing through intersections on social vehicles,we analyze how to select the optimal tram signal priority control mode under the active priority mode,so as to achieve the lowest overall delay at intersections.Firstly,the priority control strategy of tram under active priority mode at the intersection is introduced.The priority mode of tramcar is analyzed from two aspects of space priority mode and time priority mode,which lays a foundation for the study of tramcar which is in the middle of road and semi-independent right of way.Then,based on the vehicle delay calculation formula at unsaturated signalized intersection and considering the number of passengers per vehicle,the formula for calculating the per capita delay at signalized intersection is obtained.Lastly,the change of signal period and phase is analyzed when each signal priority control mode is adopted,and the calculation method of per capita delay under each signal priority control mode is deduced.Secondly,the choice of tram priority control mode under active priority mode is studied.Firstly,the signal period,green ratio,minimum effective length and saturation are improved.The optimal signal timing and period length of tram at intersection are obtained by optimizing the objective function of per capita delay.Then,The signal period is divided into two parts: green light period and red light period.During the green light period,the tram will give priority to the two signal priority control modes: the extension of the green light and the advance of the green light.During the red light period,for the arrival time of tram,the per capita delay of intersection under four signal priority control modes of phase insertion,exclusive phase,phase inversion and phase advance is calculated,and the priority control mode of tram signal is selected by comparing the minimum per capita delay.Finally,aiming at the signal priority control strategy of tram,a signal phase compensation method is proposed.Finally,a case study of the intersection of He Shan Road and Jinfeng Road on the No.1 Tram Line in Suzhou City is carried out.Aiming at the different arrival time of tram,the optimal signal priority control mode of per capita delay is selected.The results show that the signal control mode selection scheme has certain advantages in optimizing the per capita delay at intersections.
