Through using appropriate lubrication is an effective way to extend the service lifeof bearing. The geometrical and lubrication model of inner ring and rolling element ofangular contact ball bearing are constructed, the lubrication condition, lubricationmechanism during the process of start-up and shut-down, the bearing lubricationcondition considering solid particle influence are also analyzed from theoretical aspects.The elastohydrodynamic and time-dependent thermal mixed lubrication model ofangular contact ball bearing are established in this article. Based on the multi-grid (MG)method for solving the pressures, the multi-integration (MLMI) approach for evaluatingthe elastic deformations, and a sequential column sweeping scheme for solving theenergy equations, a full numerical solution for an angular contact ball bearing isobtained. The main content contains:Firstly, the iso-thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication model considering spinningeffect of angular contact ball bearing is established, the full numerical solution ofangular contact ball bearing is obtained, the influence pitch diameter of bearing on thelubrication performance considering spinning effect is considered, the effects of angularvelocity and load are also analyzed.Secondly, the thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication model for angular contactball bearing is constructed, the influences of geometrical parameters such as alignmentand pitch diameter on the performance of angular contact ball bearing are considered,the effects of angular velocity and load on the lubrication performance are alsoanalyzed.Thirdly, based on the constructed thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication model ofangular contact ball bearing, a full numerical solution was acquired of the bearing in thecondition of lubricated angular ball bearing considering thermal effect and surfaceroughness. In the condition of lacking for experimental data, rough cosine wavemathematic model involving the surface for rollaway nest and sphere of the bearing wasadopt. The influence of microscopic surface morphology on the lubrication performance of angular contact ball bearing is discussed.Fourthly, the time-dependent thermal mixed lubrication model of angular contactball bearing is established, the changing of pressure, film thickness, temperature ofangular contact ball bearing under different slip-roll ratio are discussed in the process ofstart-up and shut-down of ball bearing. In addition, the effects of different accelerationon the lubrication performance during start-up process are also analyzed.At last, the solid particle problem in the entrance area of the bearing is considered,the thermal lubrication model of inner ring and rolling element contact is constructed,the influence of solid particle and particle position on the thermal elastohydrodynamiclubrication of bearing are inspected.
