With the development of society and progress of industrial technology, continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the car as an important meansof transport required in modern people’s lives, becomes more and more popular. Thepopular of vehicle have brought great convenience for people’s life and production, but the attendant increase in the number of traffic accidents and accident casualties isa problems to be solved. Therefore, how to improve the car’s crash safety and reduceoccupant injuries is an ugently need to study and solve problem.According to the relevant regulations of the car crash, select a certain domesticcar, and make passive safety simulation for the car frontal crash two conditions: thefront100%rigid wall collisions and positive40%deformable barrier wall collisions. The main work of this paper include: built cars finite element model by the use offinite element software HYPERMESH11.0, applied load control parameters andboundary conditions on the finite element model of the vehicle, got the frontal crashfinite element model imported into LS-DYNA solver calculation, and maderecommendations for improvement, and at the same time, made analysis on frontalimpact occupant protection system. After the simulation got the result of a frontal collision, according to the relevantinformation, made analysis on the credibility of the results, and then made deformationanalysis of the structure, acceleration analysis and energy analysis for the car.Confirm the results credible and effective in the end. Furtherly, according to the carcrash evaluation criteria, made the energy-absorbing deformation for the keyenergy-absorbing components, and targeted Proposed improvement program for theproblem of former auto stringer bending energy absorption inadequate; Based on theanalysis in the collision, made analysis on the occupant protection system, in thispaper, the occupant’s head, chest, legs and neck injuries from collision were calculatedand analyzed to determine the occupant protection system provided here in largelymeet the design requirements.
