In the metallurgical-enterprise (ME), about80%transport task is undertaken by Railway, so the supplies, such as fuels, raw materials, semi-finished and completed products, are transported timely. The productivity of ME is affected seriously by the performance of the railway system.At present, the signal system in the ME is less automatic and train running relies on the wayside equipment, which leads to low transport efficiency and safety hazards such as the collision and derailment. Therefore, research on train operation control technology, which adapts to characteristics of railway transportation in the ME, has important theoretical significance and application value.In this thesis, referring to the technologies of CBTC system, a new vehicle safety control system, based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication, is presented to adapt the characteristics of the ME railway transportation. The overall structure of this system and the software with main functions are designed, the effectiveness of system is verified by simulation. The main research content of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, according to the characteristics of the ME railway transportation such as complex network within a limited region, cross routes within a narrow area, short distance, low speed, various types of supplies, and sudden tasks, a vehicle safety control system based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication is presented, the strategies of vehicle-to-vehicle communication and the strategies of train control based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication are studied.Secondly, on the ME transportation condition, the overall structure, main functions and interface protocol are designed, then, the overall design of the system is done.Additionally, the software with main functions is designed, including vehicle safe logic control software module and vehicle visual monitoring software module.Finally, based on the railway transportation in the ME, the test platform is set up under the existing condition. The main function of system is tested and verified. Test results show that vehicle safety control system based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication in the ME is effective.
