Carrier-based aircraft is an important means of war. In order to ensure Carrier-basedaircraft landed safely, approach power compensation system is proposed, which is required tomanage engine power according to approach power compensation control law, so as toovercome the problem of unstable speed when approach in low speed and improve the flightpath control. Therefore, it has important significance to research and design approach powercompensation system. In this paper, the study and design of approach power compensationsystem is carried out for the example of a type of foreign carrier-based aircraft. The mainresearch content are as follows:1. The establishment and simplification of carrier-based aircraft mathematical model inlongitudinal motion. The dynamic equation of carrier-based aircraft in longitudinal motion islisted by analyzing its force distribution according to Newton’s law of motion, and issimplified with small perturbation and linearization. The carrier-based aircraft mathematicalmodel of three-degree-of-freedom is established. Then the general response characteristics ofpath angle to pitch angle is derivated.2. The research of carrier-based aircraft approach power compensation control strategy.the approach power compensation system with the speed regulator and with the attack ofangle regulator is analyzed respectively, and they are designed with PID control theory andtheir control performance is compared. At last, It’s concluded that compared to the systemwith the speed regulator, the system with the attack of angle regulator meets the carrier-basedaircraft requirements of quickness, accuracy and security better.3. The analysis and design of carrier-based aircraft approach power compensationcontrol law. According to the specific requirements of a type of foreign carrier-based aircraft,the approach power compensation system with the attack of angle regulator fed back withboth the normal acceleration and the elevator variation is adopted, and its control law is analyzed and designed. The simulation results indicate that the approach power compensationcontrol law designed can meet the requirements of this type of carrier-based aircraft better,which ensure the security and stability of its landing.The analysis and simulation results indicate that the automatic throttle commandalgorithm and approach power compensation control law designed in this paper have reachedvarious requirements of this type of carrier-based craft, which have a engineering significancein some degree.
