As an important safety part of the vehicle running system,the structure and performance of the wheel have a great influence on the safety and reliability of the vehicle running at high speed.The computer aided engineering(CAE)plays an important role in the lightweight design of wheel,which supports the dynamic characteristics of the strength analysis of automobile wheel.In this paper,the car wheel is taken as the research object,the car wheel is designed to be light weight,and the car wheel is designed to be made of carbon fiber-epoxy composite material layer,based on the consideration of Mesh selection,boundary condition determination and load application of finite element model,the finite element analysis model is obtained,and the parametric model is designed by using COMSOL,finally,a wheel model with reasonable structure is obtained.Then,the modal calculation of the existing mature wheels is carried out and compared with the design wheels.The rationality of wheel design is verified by analyzing the practicability of composite materials.The research results of this paper can provide a reference for the structural strength finite element analysis and lightweight research of composite wheel.
